2014 High Elevation Cabernet Sauvignon

The grapes used to produce our Cabernet Sauvignon were harvested from our family’s vineyards in Lake County, California. The 2014 vintage was our third drought year in a row, concentrating the flavors in our Cabernet Sauvignon. We age this wine for 16 months on French and American oak.

Tasting Notes

The Shannon Ridge 2014 High Elevation Cabernet Sauvignon is rich in color. It has woodsy aromatics backed up by black berries and black currents. Mocha coffee, anise, vanilla and pie spices also fill the glass. Flavors burst out with dark fruits, blackberry and marrion berry. Nicely spiced and hearty notes of spiced oak. Firm, ripe tannins will allow this wine to age for 8-10 years.
