2014 Reserve Tempranillo
For the third drought year in a row, 2014 was early, mostly due to lack of water. Once ripening began, the hot, dry summer threatened to turn our precious grapes into raisins and it was a race to get them off the vines and into fermenters. It was a smaller crop than average, but intense concentration.
Dried herbs, pie spices, and earth surround the bright cherry aromas. The palate is full of dried plums, tart cherries, herbs, and spices. It fills your mouth with good structure and long toasted oak and hazelnut finish.
